Carbondale, Colo., March 28, 2020 — Beginning Monday, March 30, 2020, Thunder River Theatre Company, the Roaring Fork Valley’s award-winning theatre located in downtown Carbondale, will offer ThunderStream, a new, online series of free virtual performances and events. Offerings will include short performances by the theatre’s popular Consensual Improv! comedy troupe, one- or two-song mini-salon performances by singers from the TRTC Diva Cabaret series, a virtual playwriting camp for students and parents, play readings, Happy Hours and hangouts with performers and creative staff, and more.

“We wanted a very immediate way to give everyone a few moments of fun, provide a little diversion and entertainment when so many are confined indoors, and help parents continue to enrich their children. The power of the arts to uplift and unite us are so clear during difficult times like these,” said TRTC executive artistic director Corey Simpson. “The team here moved as quickly as possible to adapt our programming from in-person to virtual. We are looking forward to taking our creativity online and hope everyone will join us!”
