SUMMARY:An Iliad
DESCRIPTION:An Iliad\nBy: Lisa Peterson & Denis O’Hare \nDirected By: Missy Moore \nAN ILIAD is a modern-day retelling of Homer’s classic. Poetry and humor\, the ancient tale of the Trojan War\, and the modern world collide in this captivating theatrical experience. The setting is simple: the empty theater. The time is now: the present moment. The lone figure onstage is a storyteller—possibly Homer\, possibly one of the many bards who followed in his footsteps. He is fated to tell this story throughout history. \nNovember 6 – 9 \n  \nBUY TICKETS\n

SUMMARY:Ignite the Climb
DESCRIPTION:Ignite the Climb:\nAn evening benefiting TRTC’s production of K2\nSaturday\, January 31\n5:00 pm \nJoin us for an evening with Mike Marolt. \nMike Marolt is an inducted USA Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame ski mountaineer from Aspen Colorado. From age 12 when his father introduced him to the art of climbing for skiing on Independence Pass\, he and his twin brother\, Steve\, along lifelong friend Jim Gile have taken their ski mountaineering to the greater ranges over the past 40 years. They have amassed arguably the greatest ski descent resume in the world’s 5\,000-meter to 8\,000-meter (19\,000 – 26\,000 feet) peak arena with expeditions to some 60 of the world’s highest peaks. The trio has concentrated on only pure style expeditions\, shunning Sherpa / Porter assistance as well as the use of supplemental oxygen and altitude drugs\, an aspect that enhances their accomplishments. \n5:00 pm: Cocktail Hour with screening of Shishapangma:  Ski from the Death Zone \n6:30 pm: Dinner at Sprazzo with Mike \n  \nMike Marolt’s descents and accomplishments: \n2000 First Americans to ski from 8\,000 m/26\,247 ft.\, Shishapangma\, Tibet\n2003 First Americans to ski Mt. Everest’s North Ridge\n2007 First Americans\, 5th people ever\, with multiple ski descents from above 8\,000 m/26\,000 ft.\, Cho Oyu\, Tibet\n2007 Their second ski descent of Mt. Everest’s north ridge\n2008 First Americans\, second people ever\, to ski Bolivia’s highest peak\, Sajama\, 6\,545 m/21\,475 ft.\n2009 First ski descent of Tibet’s Norjin Kansang\, 7\,206m / 23\,642 ft. their 6th ski descent from 7\,000 meters for the most ever pure style.\n2010 First ski descent of Peru’s Coropuna\, Baraco Route\, 6\,425 m/21\,079 ft.\n2011 First Americans\, second people ever\, to ski Ecuador’s highest peak\, Chimborozo\, 6\,310 m/20\,700 ft. (First and only single day speed ascent / descent)\n2012 First Americans\, second ever\, descent of Bolivia’s Illimani\, 6\,438 m/21\,150 ft. (First and only single day speed ascent / descent).\n2013/2014 Attempts at first ever winter ski descent from above 7\,000 meters\, Mustagh Atta\, China.\n2015 HImlung HImal Nepal\, world record high winter ski descent\, 21\,150 feet.\n2018 Induction to USA Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame\n2018 First ever ski descent Ampato\, Peru\, 6288 meters/20\,630 feet; first ski descent Sabancya\, Peru\,5976 meters / 19\,600 feet\n2019 First ever ski descent Chumpe\, Peru 6106 meters/  20\,033 feet\n2019 Wasatch Adventure Film Festival Recipients of The Mallory lifetime achievement award \nAbout Shishapangma: Ski from the Death Zone \nShishapangma: Ski from Death Zone refers to a documentary and expeditions focused on ski mountaineering on Shishapangma (8\,027m)\, an 8\,000-meter peak in Tibet\, highlighting the extreme risks of skiing from the “death zone” (above 8\,000m) and the first American ski descent in 2000 by the Marolt brothers (Mike & Steve) and Jon Krakauer. The project documented their ambitious goal to ski from an 8k peak\, a challenging feat requiring immense skill and luck amidst dangerous high-altitude conditions\, culminating in a successful descent and a film produced by American Adventure Productions. \nKey Aspects of the film: \nThe Mountain: Shishapangma is the only 8\,000-meter peak entirely in China\, known for its relatively accessible base camp but treacherous upper reaches. \nThe Goal: To achieve the first American ski descent from an 8\,000-meter peak\, using skis for both ascent and descent. \nThe Team: Mike Marolt\, Steve Marolt\, and Jon Krakauer (later joined by others) were central figures\, inspired by Ed Viesturs‘s advice on the standard route. \nThe Challenges: Navigating the death zone\, managing logistics\, rapidly gaining extreme altitude (base camp at 16\,000 ft)\, and dealing with avalanche risk. \nThe Film: Shishapangma – Ski from the Death Zone captured this pioneering effort\, showcasing the beauty and danger of extreme ski mountaineering. \n  \nBUY TICKETS

SUMMARY:K2
DESCRIPTION:K2\nBy Patrick Meyer\nDirected by Missy Moore\n\nThe setting is an icy ledge high up on K2\, the world’s second-highest mountain. Two climbers\, Taylor and Harold\, are stranded at 27\,000 feet\, and Harold has suffered a broken leg in the precipitous descent. They have also lost one of their ropes\, and the remaining one is neither long nor strong enough to serve as a sling to lower Harold to the next ledge. As Taylor climbs back up the mountain in an attempt to recover the other rope\, the two men keep up a running conversation that begins in a lighthearted vein but gradually shades into an absorbing discussion of the meaning and value of life. Taylor\, an arch-conservative\, womanizing assistant district attorney\, sees personal gratification as the focus of existence. At the same time\, Harold\, a physicist\, has found an almost mystic satisfaction in his selfless love for his wife and young son. When Taylor’s attempts to rescue the second rope fail\, and the desperation of their situation can no longer be denied\, it is\, finally\, the bond between the two men that is put to the test as Harold\, in a scene of shattering emotional impact\, calmly but firmly orders Taylor to save himself – to salvage the one life that can be saved and to live on for both of them. \n  \nBUY TICKETS\n

SUMMARY:Pink to Black Houseplant
DESCRIPTION:Pink to Black\npresents \nHouseplant\nFormed during the isolation of 2020\, Houseplant has steadily evolved into a genre-fluid band rooted in Louisville\, Kentucky\, blending improvisation\, indie-rock storytelling\, lush psychedelic soundscapes\, and groove-driven rhythm. The band’s music lives at the intersection of structure and exploration—balancing emotionally resonant songwriting with an open-ended\, collaborative approach to performance. \nWhile the early years saw Houseplant cultivating a grassroots following\, 2025 marks a clear turning point in the band’s trajectory. The additions of Ben Atkind (formerly of Goose)\, Chris “Roadie” Rodahaffer\, and the official onboarding of Sam Richardson—who began performing with the band in late 2024—have brought new energy and cohesion to the group’s sound. Built on the creative foundation laid by founding members Tavis Conley and Tommy Arnspiger\, these lineup shifts have deepened the band’s improvisational instincts and sharpened their musical identity. \nThe band’s live show remains the centerpiece of its creative output: dynamic\, immersive\, and ever-changing. Setlists are structured but designed to stretch—anchored by thoughtful compositions that allow the music to breathe\, shift\, and surprise. While improvisation is central to their identity\, Houseplant’s focus on lyrical craft and song structure sets them apart within the broader jam landscape. \nWith a growing slate of live dates and new recordings underway\, Houseplant is entering a new chapter—focused\, fully formed\, and ready to expand their reach on and off stage. \nSaturday\, March 21 \n8:00 pm: Dank Cilantro \n9:00 pm: House Plant \n  \nBUY TICKETS\n
