SUMMARY:PINK TO BLACK presents Pink Fuzz
DESCRIPTION:PINK TO BLACK\nPRESENTS \nPink Fuzz\nat \nThunder River Theatre \nSaturday\, April 5 \n7:30 pm Doors \n8 pm Good For Now \n9 pm Pink Fuzz \nPink Fuzz is a brother/sister-led three-piece out of Denver made up of singer/guitarist John Demitro\, and singer/bassist LuLu Demitro. Pink Fuzz came to fruition at the end of 2017. Quickly picking up steam and wanting to expand out of Denver\, Pink Fuzz started touring extensively. Creating a DIY circuit throughout the country\, they’ve built a grassroots fanbase that has anxiously been awaiting new releases. Finally\, 4 years after their newest release\, the band is putting us on track for a new album\, produced by Kevin Mckeown (Black Pistol Fire) and mixed by Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age\, Chris Cornell\, PJ Harvey\, Arctic Monkeys). This will be their strongest body of work they’ve put out yet. Their latest singles can be found on all streaming platforms with a full album expected summer of 2025. \nTheir impressive live show has been making waves in the Colorado music scene and nationally. John’s baritone guitar lends itself to their heavy and fuzzed-out tone. The tuned-down sound mixed with vocal harmonies and unique melodies is their calling card. The band’s newest material has been starting mosh pits since they debuted it at Treefort 2021. The coined term “High-Speed Desert Rock” suits them well\, as their show is fast-paced\, dynamic\, and hard-hitting. \n$40.00 Pre-sale\n$45.00 at door \n21+ \n  \nBUY TICKETS

SUMMARY:PINK TO BLACK presents Triptides
DESCRIPTION:PINK TO BLACK\nPRESENTS \nTriptides\nat \n Thunder River \nFriday\, January 24\, 2025 \n6 pm Doors \n7 pm opener DJ Pinto \n9 pm Triptides \nOver the last fourteen years and dozens of albums and singles\, cosmic LA rockers Triptides have traversed a kaleidoscopic musical landscape of psychedelic rock\, Laurel Canyon folk\, and spaced-out jazz pop — but each track can be traced back to the group’s leader\, Glenn Brigman’s unique ability to craft and explore a seemingly infinite number of dimensional melodies and harmonies. \nWith every line of Brigman’s airy vocals that dance across the tape and into the speakers\, stoners\, trippers\, and lovers alike are transported to a sweet and familiar place\, lifted by chiming guitars\, hypnotic drums\, glittering pianos\, and hallucinogenic\nfuzz. \nEach Triptides recording is a personal reflection\, an unexpected evolution\, and honest testament to The Song. And the next one will be no different. \nCatch Triptides live\, and you’ll see a band that shifts shapes and moods like lightning in\na bottle\, fluidly and fluently turning up and turning out — always taking the audience on a trip.\nEither way\, you’ll want to find them out there.\n— \nNow hear this:\nTriptides has just linked up with Label 51 Recordings for new releases in 2025 and\nonward\, and another chapter is being written for the California rock and rollers. \n  \nBUY TICKETS

SUMMARY:Death of the Pugilist
DESCRIPTION:Death of the Pugilist\nA BenFeng Music Production \nSunday\, November 3\n2:00 PM \nPrepare to be transported to the gritty underbelly of 1820s England in BenFeng Music Production’s Death of The Pugilist. Based on contemporary American novelist Daniel Mason’s powerful short story\, Death of the Pugilist embodies everything exceptional about a BenFeng Music Production: free-spirited\, expressive\, and transformative. \nSet on the quayside docks amid the squalor of working-class life in 1820s England\, the narrative follows a young man as he comes of age in a rough-and-tumble profession\, with music weaving the rich layers of emotional tapestry and humanity. \nDrawing from the musical elements of contrapuntal Bach\, minimalistic Philip Glass\, blues and Irish folk music\, the production creates a deeply moving and truly unique experience of story and music. \nThe talented ensemble features narrator Jem Moore\, alongside four exceptional and award-winning musicians: MinTze Wu\, Eric Thorin\, Joy Adams\, and Blayne Chastain. Costume Design by Bineke Kiernan and Lighting Design by Sean Jeffries. \nDeath of the Pugilist premiered in the summer of 2008 at Gros Morne Summer Music in Newfoundland\, broadcast live by CBC Radio 2. The author Daniel Mason called the piece “absolutely beautiful and so stunningly paced with the story.” The production made its US premiere at the Sounds of Lyons Music Festival in 2009 and was re-envisioned with the current ensemble in 2021 as part of the inaugural Garden Music Series in Carbondale\, Colorado. \n  \nBUY TICKETS\n

SUMMARY:The Workshop: April 12-13\, 2023
DESCRIPTION:Friday April 12 7:30 pm – Cold Dead Hands by Josh Hartwell \nCold Dead Hands should feel different than just a creepy room with four strangers trapped inside.  Different than reality.  More like a dream\, or four different nightmares combined.  Shed the burden of\, “nobody would react that way in that situation\,” because it’s not quite literal. Not quite.  There are no concrete answers given here\, because there are no real questions asked. \n  \nSaturday April 13 7:30 pm – Taco Town by Luke Sorge \nWhen the franchisee of a fast-food restaurant mistreats the manager\, the rest of the crew bands together and refuses to open for business. But their ad-hoc protest quickly spirals into an odd hostage situation — they’re holding themselves hostage. With the police outside and the franchisee forcing his way back inside\, the employees must fight for the rights they didn’t even realize they are so dearly due. \n \nBUY TICKETS
